About NPTS

Welcome!  

Nothern Plains Travel Services and Northern Plains Travel LLC are owned and operated by us, twin sisters Teri and Tina Nistler.  We are lifelong Montanans and very lucky to call Big Sky Country our home.   Our passion, outside of travel, is horses.  We grew up riding fast horses (rodeo events and barrel racing), however, our interests changed after college, and we now compete in the reining show pen.  If you have ever tried it, you know how technical it is.  The challenge of perfecting each maneuver makes the sport almost addicting.  We compete in NRHA (National Reining Horse Association) events and have both served on the board of the Yellowstone Reining Horse Association for the past several years. 

Northern Plains Travel Services was created in 2012 due to frustration and lack of customer service received from professionals in the travel industry when trying to book our own travel. We decided we would do it ourselves and we were going to do it better.  Our goal is to help facilitate a better travel experience for our clients.  Service doesn't end as soon as travel is purchased. We are available to our guests 24/7 while clients are traveling for when the unexpected happens.  

In 2021 our tour operating company, Northern Plains Travel LLC, was born to allow us to create our own personalized packages and private transportation service, if needed, for our clients using vendors we have personally vetted.  We can customize almost any type of tour of Montana and provide personal/private transportation for it.  In September of 2023 our first international tour group spent almost 2 weeks touring Tuscany, Rome and the Amalfi Coast of Italy.      
 
While we would love to be your booking agent, our purpose is to maintain outstanding service and support for all aspects of your travel.  Whether you are headed to Vegas, sailing away, soaking up the sun at a luxury beach resort, road tripping throughout our amazing home state, or anywhere else you choose to go, our goal is to provide you with exceptional service so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your trip.
